I stumbled across this hidden gem a few months ago much to my delight. Ms. Mcgraw-Teubner is an engaging teacher and a gifted artist. Before purchasing, I searched out some examples of her paintings to see if I liked her style. I found her work to be lovely.The Dvd begins with some basic instructions regarding pastels and painting outdoors.She gives detailed instruction on value, perspective, color and why she made these choices. Plein air painting can be overwhelming but she was able to present it in a way that makes it become less intimidating. I own several soft pastel painting dvds, this is one of my favorites.I think that anyone aspiring to learn about painting landscapes with soft pastels whether plein air or not will enjoy this Dvd!
